From 1974 to November 2001, Mr. Anonsen worked for various maritime companies, including American Classic Voyages Co. (American Hawaii Cruises/United States Lines) where he served as Vice President-Maritime Affairs, Prior to American Classic Voyages, he worked for Sause Brothers, Matson Navigation Company, and Theo Davies Marine Agencies where he had operational oversight of company vessels and the management of marine logistics and terminal support operations. Mr. Anonsen attended the State University of New York – Maritime College and the American Military University.

Capt. Harry Bolton has over 34 years of maritime experience; 21 years in command, maintaining a solid record of success in providing endless technical, operational, and logistic support in every corner of the world. Captain Bolton, a 1978 deck-officer graduate of the California Maritime Academy, in addition to serving on the TMG consultancy team, has accepted the position of Master of the University's Training Ship Golden Bear effective, May 2008. He assumes the position from Commodore John Keever, who recently retired as the school's Vice President for Marine Programs.

Captain Bolton has over three decades of maritime experience and 21 years in vessel command, having worked through the American Maritime Officers (AMO) organization and for companies including Bay Tankers, and General Dynamics/American Overseas Marine. In the latter position, he served for nearly two decades as master of a U.S. Maritime Preposition Ship, home-ported in the Western Pacific and the Middle East to deliver humanitarian assistance and support for the Persian Gulf and Iraq wars. He is the recipient of numerous awards, medals and citations for meritorious service and outstanding performance.

He is a First Class Pilot, served as an Expert Witness, and has consulted the U.S. Navy on new equipment design and implementation.  He has spent a lifetime demonstrating the essence of command, leadership, team building and innovative solutions, receiving many awards for his achievements. He spent the last 19 years with General Dynamics/American Overseas Marine, sailing as Master of the MV 1^st Lt. Baldomero Lopez, which is one of the original Maritime Preposition Ships home ported in the Western Pacific and Middle East.  His duties included supporting the U.S. Military during numerous exercises, humanitarian assistance and during the Persian Gulf War and Iraqi Freedom. His professional affiliations include the Council of American Master Mariners, The Nautical Institute and The Boston Marine Society.

Achievements include:  Meritorious Civil Service Award 1991; U.S. Merchant Marine Expeditionary Award Medal 1991; Outstanding Public Service Award 1992; Ship Safety Achievement-Citation of Merit 1994; U.S. Merchant Marine Expeditionary Medal 2003

John D. Selleck

John D. Selleck provides MCP with strategic development and economics support to TMG's clients. He has served as a strategic advisor to the maritime industry for nearly 20 years, in strategic management, and as a consultant. 

Mr. Selleck was previously the Director of Strategic Analysis for the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA), the sole representative of the maritime industry for negotiating and administering contracts and payroll with longshore labor on the West Coast.  His duties included short and long-range forecasting of future maritime activity in the trans-Pacific trades, forecasting manpower needs and recommending new union registration in each West Coast port and setting the PMA’s assessment rates on West Coast hours and cargo to fund a multi-billion dollar pension and welfare system. 

Prior to joining the PMA, Mr. Selleck was Director of Strategic Development for Matson Navigation Company. He developed strategies for planned and ongoing operations, performed financial analysis for vessel replacement, new businesses and acquisitions, performed competitive analyses and developed Matson’s linehaul and Neighbor Island schedules.  He developed and implemented a new barge service to Hawaii, including negotiations with all parties and developed the strategy that lead to Matson’s recently inaugurated China service. 

  

Mr. Selleck's supplementary experience has also been in the areas of electric utility rate setting, transportation and antitrust. Maritime consulting clients have included governments, such as the State of Alaska, the Government of Guam, the City of Oakland, and the Military Sealift Command; industry organizations such as the Trans-Pacific Westbound Stabilization Agreement, and the San Francisco Bar Pilots Association; as well as shipping companies such as Philippines, Micronesia & Orient Lines, and Matson Navigation. 

Mr. Selleck is a member of the Maritime Economics Working Group affiliated with the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME). Mr. Selleck’s received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated with honors, and a Master’s Degree in Economics from Columbia University, which he attended as the recipient of the Columbia President’s Fellowship.

Captain Kaare Bakke, Master Mariner

 Captain Kaare Bakke is a renowed 40-year veteran of the maritime and cruise ship industry, and for the past 3 years has been serving as a maritime consultant. Captain Bakke performs safety and nautical audits on board cruise vessels in reference with ISM Code and ISPS Code. He provides guidance to cruise ports concerning development of new dock facilties and terminals, and serves as a expert witness representing cruise lines in personal injury cases.

Captain Bakke is well versed in cruise ship operations both ashore and alfoat. Bakke bagan his career onboard NCL ships as First Officer, and was later promoted to Chief Officer, Staff Captain and to Captain in 1980. Following his sea service onboard NCL ships, Captain Bakke transfered shoreside where he held senior management positions as Port Captain, Superintendent Maritime Operations, V.P. Port Operations and Environment & Regulatory Affairs, for 20 years for Norwegian Cruise Lines in their corporate offices in Miami.

In these positions he was responsible for the development and risk assessment of new cruise itineraries, berthing surveys, request and confirmations, port agent network, terminal operations including docking, storing and stevedoring, operations at NCL's private islands (Caribbean & Pacific), and liasing with Customs, Immigrations and governmental authorities.
